WHAT WAS THE CHALLENGE?
Digital transformation, scarce resources, new supply chains: The industry is changing faster and faster. If you want to lead your customers into a successful future, you have to do more than just play along - you have to become a game changer yourself. The Factory Automation division at Siemens wanted to position itself as such. With the "Be a Game Changer" management conference in Amsterdam in 2023, we gave the starting signal for managers.Rewards
WHAT WAS THE APPROACH?
Participants experienced the three-day event in Amsterdam as a continuous, immersive gaming experience. Topics, keynotes and presentations became levels with special reference to corporate values and skills. The competencies and values of the division became Skills & Values, which were further developed over the course of the game. Participants collaboratively navigated a player character from agenda item to agenda item - or from level to level, just like in a multiplayer game. The development of the character was controlled via active participation in voting. A dynamic skill tree visualized the results and changed accordingly. In keeping with the game idea, the participants were also offered bonus levels that provided space for relaxed discussions and celebrating together.WHAT ADDED VALUE HAVE WE PROVIDED?
Serious becomes playful becomes serious: the metaphor used encouraged motivation and immersion among the participants. In addition, an extraordinary basis was created on which content is not only understood sustainably, but also remembered for a long time.WHAT WAS THE REACTION OF THE CUSTOMERS?
- ”Perfect way of delivering content (awesome formats, storytelling, speeches) and perfect balance between content and networking.”
- ”Great event with a good overall story!”
- “I have already taken part in many of such meetings. This was one of the best and best organized meetings in more than 30 years!”
